My Story
1998
Born with a bilateral profound sensorineural hearing loss
1999
Received a unilateral cochlear implant
2001
Started preschool at the School for the Deaf
2008
Fell in love with dance
2017
Served the deaf community in Los Angeles, CA
2021
Began working as a Deaf Mentor teaching families with Deaf/HoH children ASL
2023
Graduated with a Masters of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Deaf Education with a 4.0 GPA
1998
My parents started learning ASL and I started to sign at 6 months old
2000
Began attending auditory verbal therapy
2005
Switched to a mainstream school setting
2016
Graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA
2020
Married my husband, Jonathan, and began teaching him ASL
2021
Graduated with my Bachelors (B.S.) degree in Communication Disorders with a 3.97 GPA
2023
Began working as an Early Intervention Specialist (Parent Advisor) for the Deaf School's Parent Infant Program
